Mr. Paul Lawrence Deakin and Ms. Jane Deakin from Great Britain spent a vacation in Nepal with Explore Himalaya from 15 April to 1 May, 2012. During the vacation the Deakins had the trekking expedition to Everest Base Camp, Gokyo and they also covered the highest altitude of their trek; trekking to Kalapattar 5545m.

Before their departure to Lukla for the trek, they enjoyed the meeting and welcoming session at Explore Himalaya which was especially designed for them. During the session they got to know the inspiring team of Explore Himalaya, which worked to the fullest for the convenience of the visitors.

On 17 April, the trek began as soon as they landed at Lukla Airport. During the trek, the British visitors encountered the cultural practices of the Sherpas in the dispersed habitats of the Himalayan region in the places like Namche, Dole, Machermo, Lobuche and Pyangboche. During the course to Gokyo 4750m the trial offered variations as deserted glaciers and stunning glacier lakes encircled by gigantic Himalayan peaks. The trail continuing towards the Everest Base Camp 5357m allowed the trekkers to view close at hand some of the world’s highest and the most famous peaks from Everest on down.

After, the recreational time during the trek to Everest Base Camp, the British visitors had the most wonderful memories with them, of one of the must visit places on earth; Everest Base Camp. The admiring visitors were full of admires. They admired the sceneries, diversity, friendly inhabitants of the Khumbu region and the most of all they admired the route to the Everest Base Camp.

On May 1, just before their departure at the airport they thanked Explore Himalaya with their whole hearts for arranging such an exceptional trek to the Everest Base Camp.
