Today we are celebrating ‘World Environment Day’. In 1973, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) marked June 5 as the 'World Environment Day' as a means to bring awareness among people to save the environment. Activists and organizations the world over are celebrating this day by organizing various programmes to create awareness on global environmental concerns so that people would be encouraged to take positive actions in their day-to-day life to reduce the degradation of environment. The UNEP’s theme for’ World Environment Day 2012’ is ‘Green Economy’ and the host country for the celebration is the Federative Republic of Brazil. In Kathmandu, Hotel Annapurna organized a cycle rally with the theme “Cycle-to-Work: Burn Calories, Not Oil.”
All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They accommodated all requests to the best of their ability. The trek was a good level of difficulty for our students. Meals have been excellent, especially on the trek. Porters were extremely polite and helpful. Service was very good.
