Mr. Han Sung Kim from Korea was one of the  solo trekkers to Everest Base Camp with Explore Himalaya last year. He had keen enthusiasm for the trek and was a passionate traveler. He took the usual trail to the base camp. After landing at Lukla, the same day he trekked to Phakding. North to Lukla passing steepy descends and ascends, wooden bridges over Himalayan streams and rivers  and briefly stretched forests he arrived at Phakding on the first day. Climbing up the forested valley with the mesmerizing view of Everest trying to peek over the ridge of Nuptse the next day trek eneded up at Namche Bazaar 3450m. Namche is a perfect place to settle down for one more day for altitude acclimatization. The next night stoppage was at Tenboche. Tengboche, is considered the most sacred place in the entire Solu-Khumbu region. The most magnificent views of the Himalayan giants from Tengboche Monastery provides the inspiring panorama of wide Himalayan ranges. Next destination Periche is a labyrinth of walls and pastures. One more day for acclimatization at Periche was essential to Mr. Kim before making the ascending trek from here onwards to the EBC. The sixth day of the trek brought him to Lobuche 4930m. Lobuche offers the merorable sight of sunset on Nuptse. The steeper and the rougher trial from Lobuche to Gorakshep ended up at the lunch time at Gorakshep 5184m on the 8th day of the trek. The final 173 meters of the trek was covered from Gorakshep to get to Everest Base Camp 5357m on the 9th day of the trek.
