British trekkers at Hotel Marsyangdi after their trek

“A Week below Everest” trek is a 11 days trek to Khumbu Region of Nepal. With the panorama of Himalayan background, the region is dominated by the famous climbing clan, Sherpas. The Sherpa culture at its best and the ideally located highland monasteries are also the major attractions of the trek. Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for conserving wildlife also encompasses the world’s highest peak Everest 8848m. The park comprises the wide diversity of Himalayan floras and faunas. Series of mani walls, yak grazed pastures, lush vegetation and beautiful landscapes are eminent features of the trial during the trek. The major stopover point for acclimatization in the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar offers the blend of prosperous Sherpa culture and facilities of all possible modern amenities.

This autumn, a group of thirteen English trekkers representing Hospice charity were led by Ms. Agnieszka Hobbs, during the trek to Khumbu Region with Explore Himalaya. An itinerary was set to take the trekkers to the Everest Base Camp but the unfavorable weather conditions restricted them to trek beyond Gorakshep. Whatsoever, the trekkers had the very wonderful trek. Despite of heavy snowfall and the extreme coldness, the trekkers found Khumbu Region a real wonderland. From Gorakshep, to watch Everest soaring high beyond the skies with several other mountain siblings was the most wonderful experience of their trek.

The most frequented trekking trial in Nepal, Everest Trek is full of Highland surprises. The tea houses throughout the trial offer the comfortable accommodation and varieties of delicious cuisines. The British Trekkers had numerous memorable moments of Khumbu region. “Weather didn’t favor us but everytime weather was harsh, sooner or later, we came across a beautiful surprise which made our trek fantastic”, a member of the trek said.
