Mr. Malcolm James Smith and Ms. Helen Grace Smith recently traveled from Beijing, China to all the way to Kathmandu, Nepal on their 18 days tour package. The tour was organized by the Explore Himalaya. Smith couple took an opportunity to visit the Great Wall of China. They had the life time experience of river cruise on Yangtze River. The tour included the visit to Shanghai Museum. The last four days of the tour included the sightseeing around the ancient city of Kathmandu. The couple were guided to the largest Buddhist stupa at Boudhanath, popular Hindu shrine Pashupatinath, UNESCO World heritage site Changunarayan temple and the Durbar squares of the three cities within the Kathmandu Valley; Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The couple flew to Xian from Beijing on the fourth day of the trip. They traveled to Shanghai on a three days cruise over Yangtze River from Chengdu on the ninth day to eleventh day of their tour. On the fourteenth day they flew back to Shanghai from Chengdu and on the fifteenth day they flew to Kathmandu from Chengdu.

Nepal is a burgeoning republic nestled in the heart of the Himalaya whose name evokes images of soaring snow-capped peaks, fast flowing rivers, and of course, the iconic Mt. Everest.
Nepal has so much to offer historically and culturally as well.
I am not the type of person that would usually take a trip from Beijing to Kathmandu by land. I had no idea what international travel was like or how difficult it can be gaining entry into Tibet. In fact I still don’t because Explore Himalaya made it easy for me.
