Beside building up a wide contact base of our potential partners and customers, we were also successful in promoting Nepal as a rewarding destination.” Nepal Tourism Board also took part in the Event for the first time.
The Event was deemed very successful as 88.8 percent of the total visitors said they had benefited from the visit, 92.2 percent rated the fair offer as complete and almost all of them recommended the trade fair. The Fair ended with the announcement of Dominican Republic being the partner country for Ferien-Messe Wien 2020.
During the travel fair organized by National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) enjoyed overwhelming gestures from scores of Singaporeans and other international visitors. During the largest tourism consumer fair in Singapore, the stall of Nepal manifested the theme that represented nature, culture and adventure of the country.
During the Press Meet the representative of NTB said, “People coming to the stall were very inquisitive about Nepal, and Singaporeans were happy to know that post-earthquake Nepal was already welcoming tourists”.
He added the visitors appreciated the effort of Nepalese on making quick recovery and were glad to know that the monuments that fell apart during the quake are being rebuilt rapidly.
The prominent online and print Medias of Singapore covered Nepal remarkably. The direct air connection between two countries with Silk Air and increasing other Airlines that connect Nepal to Asia Pacific Region directly, Nepal becomes the preferable travel destination for Singaporeans and the people of Asia Pacific Region. Hence, this tourism fair that had larger exposure and grander media coverage in Singapore and Asia Pacific Region generates the possibility of potential travelers to Nepal.
