The best way to explore Nepal in 3 days.

The titanic group of enthusiastic riders comprising 15 Australians and a Russian arrived at Friendship Bridge, Nepal China Border on 19 May, 2012. They had completed their Overland Tour of Tibet and had plans to explore around Nepal. During their 3 days exploration in Nepal, they had cultural sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley and a mountain flight.

Their cultural sightseeing tour in the Nepalese capital included visits to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Kumari Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The sightseeing tour in Kathmandu means visiting to numerous temples, monasteries and palaces where visitors encounter with uncountable ancient inventive in the forms idols, paintings, carvings and statues.

The visitors had one more opportunity for the closer encounter with the great Himalayas. They went on a Mountain Flight to the Everest region. The aerial views of the snow land and deep gorges with the rare visibility of human settlement provided the feast to their eyes. Mountain flight in Nepal is very short, yet a perfect trip to go around the top of the world.

After, the sightseeing tour and the mountain flight a walk around Thamel worthed a shot. The visitors tour Thamel on their own and gave themselves a space to enjoy the last moments of their long vacation in Tibet and Nepal.

On 22 May 2012, their most incredible vacation at Tibet and Nepal ended. The visitors made Explore Himalaya stand tall with their thankful expressions and sentences just before their departure.

Ms. Maria Estela and Mr. Gualter Mello from Brazil toured the best of Nepal and additionally, they also explored Lumbini, Nagarkot and Himalayas on a mountain flight. Their tour kicked off on April 7, 2012 from Lumbini and their last destination was Nagarkot on the 14th. On 15th, the day after the completion of their tour, they departed Nepal.

Apart, from the best of Nepal (Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan) Lumbini is a prominent holy place to visit, which lies at lower Terai region of Nepal. Lumbini is the birth place of the founder of Buddhism, Gautam Buddha. Lumbini evokes the holy sentiments to millions of Buddhist around the world. The Buddhist devotees and cultural and historical visitors visit Lumbini every year in huge numbers. Lumbini is a pride of Nepal and it is an UNESCO heritage site. Ashoka Pillar, the image of Mayadevi, Puskarni- the sacred pool, Sanctorum of Buddha’s birthplace and numerous big and small monasteries, shrines and stupas at Lumbini provides the sensation of eternal peace.

After the completion of exploring Lumbini and the best of Nepal, the Brazilian visitors also ventured to Himalayan region on a mountain flight. The mountain flight in Nepal is an extreme opportunity to witness the beauty in the highlands of Nepal in a very short period of time. The Brazilian citizens had already covered the geographically diverse regions in Nepal; from lower Terai to High Himalayas. After the mountain flight, the tour continued to Nagarkot. After, the awe-inspiring sunrise view at Nagarkot the tour finally got completed.

The happy Brazilians departed Kathmandu on April 15.

After the Overland Tour of Tibet, the group of nine; Eight Australians and a Dutch crossed the Friendship Bridge at Nepal-China border over Bhote Koshi River on September 23, 2012. They chilled out the night stay at Himalayan Horizon on the23rd. The following day on September 24, the group accompanied with the team of Explore Himalaya towards Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the capital of Himalayan nation Nepal. The city itself is a heritage site. A prehistoric city describes the primordial Aryan culture in the region.

On September 25, the group was on the sightseeing tour of this ancient city. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath , Chnagunarayan and  Swayambhunath are spiritually privileged destinations. The group precisely had great time on viewing these ancient pious temples and Monasteries. The arty and inventive displays of the ancient times at the three grandiose Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur left the lineup with no choice other than appreciating the ancestral abilities in the region.

On September 26, early morning the squad had the mountain flight. The eye-catching views of the green mountains, elevated regal Himalayas, rivers and rivulets, feral passes in the nature and the traditional habitats at places fully took them to the different exciting side existing in Nepal. The team has had much more than their expectation on a very short retreat to Nepal. On September 27, they made their exodus from Nepal towards Paro, Bhutan with very happy hearts.

IMAX’s David Breashers in Everest

IMAX’s Director David Breashers Flies to Everest with Fishtail Air
Acclaimed American filmmaker, adventurer and author David Breashers took a mountain flight via Fishtail Air’s chopper to Everest region on 25th April 2010.

Best known for co-directing, photographing, and co-producing the acclaimed IMAX film ‘Everest’ in 1996, Breashers has also worked on feature films like ‘Seven Years in Tibet’, ‘Cliffhanger’, and the award-winning documentary ‘Red Flag over Tibet’. In 1983 he transmitted the first live pictures from the summit of Mount Everest. For his achievement in filmmaking he has been awarded four Emmy Awards.

David Breashers has also co-authored National Geographic’s best-selling book ‘Last Climb’ which documents the disappearance of George Mallory and Andrew Irvine on Mount Everest in 1924. His memoir entitled ‘High Exposure: An Enduring Passion for Everest and Unforgiving Places’ (Simon & Schuster), documenting his life as a mountaineer and filmmaker, remains a best-seller.
