Namje, a small Magar village in Dhankuta in eastern Nepal has been named one of the 12 best unheard of places by CNN. The hill top village of Namje is inaccessible by road and one has to take an arduous trek to reach it. This has kept the village largely isolated and only a handful of tourists have visited this village. Stunning views of Mt. Makalu and the low lying river valleys can be enjoyed from the village.

Bandipur – a popular tourist getaway situated  a couple of  kilometers away from Kathmandu has been featured on CNN. CNN’s reporter Gena Somra met up with some of  Bandipur’s prominent denizens  to discover how the ‘ghost town’ was transformed into an eco & tourist friendly village.
