Raniban Retreat, Pokhara

Raniban Retreat, Pokhara

Posted Mar 18th, 2012 under Food & Accommodation,

Set high in a ridge above the scenic Pokhara valley and the beautiful Phewa Lake, the breathtaking location of Raniban Retreat is without doubt one of its chief USP(unique selling point). Situated in an idyllic location the resort offers tourists in Pokhara a delightful and comfortable stay in its well furnished 4 standard rooms and 12 tented camps (with attached bathroom). It  lies at an elevation of 1492m, about 7km(1 hour drive/30 mins hike from Phewa lake) from the main town. A stay at this beautiful resort allows you to enjoy panoramic views of the snowy Machhapucchre, Annapurna, Manaslu & Dhaulagiri and savor the enchanting  sight of the pristine Phewa Lake and the valley floor stretching below. As the World Peace Pagoda lies just a stone-throw away from the retreat, you can walk down and explore it or take a short hike and explore the surrounding villages. The resort’s restaurant menu may not offer a varied choice but the food they serve is tasty and prepared hygienically. Raniban Retreat also has a bar, a terraced garden, spa and wi-fi facility. If you are looking for a restful stay (away from the usual tourist crowd), amidst  natural and  tranquil setting than Raniban Retreat is where you should head to.
