Project Himalaya Tukuche(6920m) Climbing Team make it to the summit
Two climbers from Finland climbing with the Project Himalaya Tukuche(6920m) Climbing Team have successfully reached the summit of the peak at 10 AM today(24th Sept’09). The names of the two members are Janne Pekka Hyrylaeinen and Anne-Mari Hyrylaeinen. The logistics for this team has been handled by Explore Himalaya.
The team consisting of three members Janne Pekka Hyrylaeinen and Anne-Mari Hyrylaeinen from Finland and Ian James Rutherford from Australia, is accompanied by climbing sirdar Dawa Gyalzen Sherpa, climbing sherpa Dayu La Sherpa and cook Kami Sherpa.The group departed from Kathmandu on 11th September and began their trek from Marpha on 12th.

The meeting and handling was excellent. Everything worked! Good tents and facilities (dining & toilet tents). For young mountaineers I suggest an extra day/camp between Kyangjin Gompa and High Camp, some where around 4,400m.
