Nepal is truly a blessed country when it comes to natural beauty. For many years travellers have been visiting Nepal to conquer its ‘Mighty Mountains’ and to explore its beautiful trekking regions. Recently, Government of Nepal has launched “Panch Pokhari Trek Route”. The trail to the five holy lakes traverses across Nuwakot, Rusuwa and Sindupalchok districts of Nepal. These five magnificent lakes at elevation of 4,100m are religiously important for both Hindus and Buddhists. During Jannai Purnima (the sacred thread festival) the lake is flooded by the Bramhins Hindu devotees from all over the country.
The view of Langtang Range, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling Himal and other snow-capped peaks is a frequent sight seen during the trek. This trail is a combination if bio-diversity infused with its rich cultural heritage. Except during the monsoon the trek can be done all year around. So, the Western Trekkers who are planning their next trekking trip to Nepal, Panch Pokhari trek can be a trip of a lifetime; experienced by a handful of trekkers.
The meeting and handling was excellent. Everything worked! Good tents and facilities (dining & toilet tents). For young mountaineers I suggest an extra day/camp between Kyangjin Gompa and High Camp, some where around 4,400m.
We work with the motto "Tourism for Development". Explore Himalaya Community Service Project was conceived to empower underprivileged segments of Nepal.
