Milam Glacier Trek

Milam Glacier Trek opens up an opportunity to explore and experience the mystique of Uttaranchal. Trekking journey begins from Munsyari to Milam.

The trek involves moderate walks using good tracks to cross the hills and transect rugged terrains, quaint villages and picturesque streams. Panch Chuli Range captivates the scenic trek on ascending to the Lilam ridge. As the trail meanders past Milam glacier, you get several vantage points to view panoramic vistas of mountain, a profusion of unique flora and fauna and unspoiled landscape. At an elevation of 3434 meters, Base Camp boasts a mesmerizing sight of East face of Nanda Devi. Much of the higher section is through Brijigang Pass to Ralam Valley. Culture, cuisine, safety and comfort remain the focal points through out the trek. With plenty of time to acclimatize in Milam, you get the ultimate travel experience.

  • Day 1

    Arrive Delhi

    As soon as you land at Delhi airport, our staff will be at your warm reception to escort you to your hotel. After getting thoroughly briefed about the travel plan, you can make all the apt travel preparations accordingly. You get to have free time to indulge in any kind of activities of your choice..

  • Day 2

    Sightseeing in Delhi

    The entire day will be exclusively planned to guide you around the major attractions of Delhi. Delhi sightseeing tour begins shortly after breakfast. 17th century Red Fort which was built by the great Mughal Shah Jahan gives you delightful reflection on the India history. On approaching Jama Masjid, you get some insights into Muslim religion, culture and belief. India Gate is another living pride of New Delhi and it is also a reminder of the World War. You will also have a pleasure to visit President House, an official residence of India's President. Thereafter, the journey takes you to Qutab Minar. At the end of the day, you finally head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay..

    Train from Delhi - Kathgodam - Almora

    After enjoying delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to the railway station to catch a train to Kathgodam. You will have your meals and sleep in the train.     Drive from Almora to Munsyari [2290m]

    Soon after breakfast, you will be driven to Munsyari. Upon arriving at your hotel in Munsyari, you exist to your room to freshen up. After proper rest, you have your meal. You will spend the night at the hotel..

  • Day 5

    Trek from Munsyari to Lilam [1845 m]

    Your trek commences from Munsyari. Feasting on mesmerizing views of verdant meadows and stream, you march ahead towards Lilam. On the way you will also see an Indo-Tibet Boarder check post. Finally, you overnight at a perfect campsite..

  • Day 6

    Lilam to Bodgwar [2500m]

    Early in the morning after breakfast you take continuous descents to the Gori Ganga. En route, you come across pristine villages. Further ahead, the trail meets up a view of the confluence of rivers. Bamboo, conifer and chest nut forests dominate the view throughout the trek. You even encounter herdsmen on your way. 5-6 hours of trekking finally concludes on reaching your campsite in Bodgwar..

  • Day 7

    Bodgwar to Rilkot [3254 m]

    You trek for another 6 to 7 hours. The trail crosses verdant vegetation. When you reach an altitude of 3254m, you camp at an ideal location..

  • Day 8

    Rilkot to Ganghar [3330 m]

    Ganghar to Nanda Devi East Base Camp [3434 m]

    Nanda Devi Base Camp to Milam

  • Day 11

    Rest in Milam

    This day has been exclusively set aside for complete acclimatization. Sound health and good physical fitness only get you going in your trek.     Milam to Brijigang Pass [3357 m]

    Almora to Delhi

    From Almora you will take an overnight train to Delhi..

  • Day 19

    Arrival Delhi
