  • Day 2

    ightseeing of Pasupathinath & Boudhanath.

    Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. Early morning enjoy the breakfast and head towards the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered the holiest place in Nepal to cremate the departed ones. You can easily witness the culture of Hindu funeral in Aryaghat at Pashupatinath. Then few minutes' walk will bring you to Boudhnath, which is one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world. In this UNESCO World Heritage Site you can observe Buddhist monks absorbed in prayer surrounding the stupa. The Tibetan flavor is well observed in the backstreets of Boudhannath.
