Kathmandu, the historical and cultural heart of Nepal, has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, and western influence. There will be a half day guided tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the holy Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath - the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, the 'monkey temple' of Swayambhunath and the medieval palace of the Malla Kings at Kathmandu Durbar Square. After the sightseeing tour, you will be escorted to the 'Garden of Dreams' or 'Swapna Bagicha'. Amidst the chaos of Kathmandu, the Garden of Dreams (located just two minutes walk from Thamel Chowk), opens up into a haven of peace and tranquility. A dream project of Field Marshal Kaiser SJB Rana, the neo-classical garden was built in the 1920s. Kaiser Shamsher erected six impressive freestanding pavilions, each dedicated to one of the six seasons of Nepal. These pavilions provide the Garden's architectural framework and complement the arrangements of flowers, shrubs, and trees. Unfortunately, of the original four acres and six pavilions (named after the six Nepali seasons), only 1.2 acres and three pavilions remain. The garden is built along the lines of an Edwardian Garden - paved perimeter paths, interposed by pavilions, trellises, and various planting areas, surround a sunken flower garden with a large pond at its center. It has an exquisite ensemble of fountains, pergolas, balustrades, urns, and statues. After exploring the Garden we sit out to enjoy dinner at the Kaiser Restaurant located at the corner of Basanta (spring) Pavilion. .
You take a 25 minutes’ flight to Pokhara. During the flight, we get to savor the most mesmerizing views of glorious Manaslu and the snow-capped Annapurna mountain range. On reaching Pokhara, you will be escorted to the hotel. From the resort, you get wonderful views of the Himalayas. .
From Pokhara Airport, you take an exciting helicopter ride to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m), one of the most famous trekking destinations in the world. The flight offers panoramic views of the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Peak and Hiunchuli. As you leave Pokhara, the valley's lakes, namely Begnas, Rupa, and Phewa, look like jewels from up above. The approach to Annapurna Base Camp opens up with a spectacular view of the Annapurna Sanctuary-a high glacial basin flanked by the snowy peaks of Annapurna I, II, III and IV and the fishtail spire of Machhapuchhre. After landing at the Annapurna Base Camp, you will be given ample time to take pictures and explore a bit, before the return flight. Afternoon activities include boating on Phewa Lake, visit Davis Fall, Bindyabasini Temple and Mahendra Gupha (cave). .
A heli ride will bring you to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO Natural Heritage site. The park offers a unique and exceptional wildlife experience, being the home to several rare species, in particular, the one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, bear, wild boar, deer, bison, crocodiles etc. .
Surrender to the pure pleasure of jungle activities! Safari excursion includes jungle safari, canoeing and bird watching. Unlike African animals, those in Chitwan tend to be rather solitary and shy. But our expert guides know how to track these elusive creatures and you can enjoy a glimpse or two of some of these endangered animals. Today we continue to explore the park in a jeep, looking for rhinos, tigers, elephants, wild boars and the masses of beautiful birds living here. In the evening we enjoy a Tharu cultural program. .
After your wildlife adventure, you will be escorted to Bharatpur airport to catch a flight to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu, you can spend the day at leisure. .
