Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is itself an exciting and memorable experience as exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Himalaya’s sprawls before you. A representative and driver from our office will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check into the hotel. Thereafter, you will be thoroughly briefed about your travel plan. .
Early in the morning you board the chopper and fly eastwards towards Everest Region. Your destination is Everest Base Camp. Enjoying aerial views of Everest (8,848 m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m), Kantega (6685m), Lhotse (8501m), Nuptse (7879m); you halt at Kalapatthar (5545m) - one of the finest viewpoints to view Mount Everest up close and the site of the World’s Highest Cabinet Meeting (held on December 4, 2009). After exploring and taking pictures, you leave Kala Patthar and fly towards Kongde Ri (4250m) which has the world’s highest full service luxury resort – Yeti Mountain Home, Kongde. At the resort, you sit out marveling at the panoramic views of Himalayan Mountains and celebrate the completion of your Everest adventure over champagne and a sumptuous breakfast. Later you will drive to your hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel .
After the early morning breakfast, a fully guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu kicks off. We drive Boudhanath. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. The Tibetan flavor is well observed in the backstreets of Boudhanath. The maroon-robed monks enchanting the holy prayers and the mega statues of Buddha indulged in different mudras is a great opportunity to grasp the practices of rich Buddhist culture. Then you will be driving to the next major destination in Kathmandu- Pashupatinath. The scattered small temples devoted to different Hindu deities along with the main temple dedicated to supreme Hindu God- Shiva are the highlights of Pashupatinath. The cremation procedure ongoing at Aryaghat; a bank of Bagmati River is a worthwhile observation to understand the Hindu rituals during the funerals. After lunch, we take a drive to Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the most artistic and glorious Durbar Square in the valley appeals a thorough exploration. Arousing wooden crafts throughout the scattered monuments in the backstreets of Patan Durbar Square is worth appreciable.
