NTY torch to be taken to Ama Dablam
Posted Jan 5th, 2011 under Climbing & Expeditions,Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has decided to take the torch of Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 campaign to the summit of Mt. Ama Dablam.
NMA President Zimba Zangbu Sherpa said that a 10 member Nepal Tourism Year 2011 Torch Expediton will take the torch to the summit of Ama Dablam on January 14, coinciding with the formal launch of the NTY campaign.
An expedition to Ama Dablam is technically demanding and has it all – ice, rock, scrambling, killer views, great approach and the great base camp in a meadow with a stream.
