As part of the promotion scheme for Nepal Tourism Year 2011, the Nepalese government is offering free visas to mountaineers who have summitted Mt.Everest and another peak for two years. The government has also announced 50 percent discount on climbing fees for Dhaulagiri for the next climbing season of 2010 and for 2011 as part of the celebrations. To climb Dhaulagiri a foreign climber is expected to pay USD 5,000 as royalty to Nepal government.
The service of the staff was excellent. The lodges in Bardia and Pokhara were excellent, and their staffs also, especially in Bardia. Hotel Dwarika in Kathmandu is a very good hotel. Sure we are going to recommend this trip to our friends!
