The French capital Paris finally saw the launch of Nepal’s tourism campaign Nepal Tourism Year 2011. On 15th November 2010, at a glittering function organized by Nepal Embassy, Paris and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the campaign was launched and also the first French climbers (male & female) to ascent Mt. Everest, Pierre Mazeaud and Dr. Christian Janin, were felicitated. They along with another Everest summiteer, Jean Afanasieff were appointed as goodwill ambassadors of NTY-2011 by Prime Minister Mr. Madhav Kumar Nepal and Minister of Tourism & Civil aviation Mr. Sharat Singh Bhandari.
