Norwegian Volunteers in Nuwakot

Norwegian Volunteers in Nuwakot

Posted Mar 4th, 2011 under Company News, Trip Report,

Fresh out of high school, Kirsten Bjørge and Taliah Sheffer from Norway are here in Nepal on a GAP year break.  As they want to spend their holidays doing something productive, these two young ladies have signed up for  Explore Himalaya’s GAP Year & volunteering program in Nuwakot. They left for Nuwakot village today. During their month long stay they will assist teachers at the village school (Shree Bhairabi Higher Secondary School), aid health post workers, get involved in community service and try their hands at farming (the traditional way!). Kirsten & Taliah will be staying with local families.
