Mixing pleasure with charity – Travelling Humanely

Mixing pleasure with charity – Travelling Humanely

Posted Apr 23rd, 2012 under Community Service Project, Company News, Trekking & Hiking,

Explore Himalaya recently organized a trek to Annapurna (Ghorepani- Poon Hill) for a group of dentists from UK. After their trek, the group devoted two days of their Nepal stay in conducting a dental camp. The dental camp was held at a local school (Heritage School, Tikathali) in Kathmandu. Around 300 students, plus teachers and guardians received free dental check up as well as lessons on dental hygiene.

An excellent  and charitable concept for professionals travelling in a group to Nepal (or other less developed countries), ie, imparting or utilizing one’s professional skill to help needy locals, while taking in the sights!

Thank you so so much, for a fantastic Tibetan trip. My Everest dream came true, once again thanks to you guys. All was wonderful. I will tell my friends to contact you when they travel to China, Tibet, and/or Nepal.
