The Manaslu Trekking route of Gorkha district will be reopening for trekkers before Dasain. The route was not as smooth as it was before since the devastating earthquake last year on April.
The route was again blocked after a landslide caused by heavy monsoon hit the trail on Keremja Village on last Thursday, September 22. The spot of the incident lies on the way to Jagat from Macha Khola which is also the gateway for both the Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley Trek. The landslide killed 4 peoples and left 11 peoples injured.
The official of Gorkha district has said that they have already allocated the budget for the reopening of the route and they will be using local manual workers for the work soon. Local communities and the tourism related organization has committed to working together to open this route before the biggest festival of Nepalese; Dasain.

The meeting and handling was nice. Our trek guide Lamababu took very good care of us and our children's needs. Among the meals we liked Dal Bhaat best.
We work with the motto "Tourism for Development". Explore Himalaya Community Service Project was conceived to empower underprivileged segments of Nepal.
