Five Danish visitors Mr. Andress, Ms. Malene and Mr. Keld Ramussens with Ms. Anne Olsen and Ms. Nina Joye Smith were in Nepal through our sole Country Partner Kipling Travel. The group had planned 2 weeks long Langtang trek with Explore Himalaya from March 12 to March 30, 2013.

Langtang is a small valley sandwiched between the central Himalayan range to the north and slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the Tibetan border to the south is just 19 miles north of Nepalese capital Kathmandu. The highest peak in the region Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the northern valley; Gang Chenpo and Naya Kanga lie to the south; and Dorje Lapka (6966m) protects the eastern border of the Langtang valley. Langtang holds over 70 glaciers including Ganesh Himal and high altitude lakes like Parvatikunda, Gosainkunda, Dudhkunda and Bhairavkunda. Langtang National Park with wide range of plant and animal biodiversities lures bountiful wildlife lovers to this trekking trial every year.

Their real Langtang trek began at Syabrubenshi on March 14 2013- a trek beginning point which came after nine hours road journey from Kathmandu. They pursued an ascending trial along the Bhote Koshi river through ethnic Tamang villages, thriving emerald woodlands and the broadly stretched Kyangin valley encircled by snow-white peaks from all fours sides, and up to Kyangin at 3800 meter, where they got an opportunity to climb Tsergo Ri [5024m.]. After an ascent of Tsergo Ri, they went to Gosainkunda where Ms. Olsen had a severe knee problem and hence was immediately rescued. Ms. Nina accompanied Olsen to Kathmandu during the rescue. However, rest of the trekkers completed their trek on March 28, 2013 at Sundarijal.
