Spectacular view, on the way to Langtang.
The mega group of jolly and adventurous Russians arrived to Nepal on October 6, 2012. Their tour began with the visits to Pashupatinath Temple and Swayambhunath Temple on the very next day. Pashupatinath is one of the Mega Hindu pilgrimages in the world. The temple attracts lots of Shiva (Lord of destruction) devotees and the visitors with cultural interest. Similarly, Swayambhunath holds the great Buddhism impact. The hilltop Buddhist pilgrimage dispalys the outstanding ancient Buddhism and Tibetan culture. Both these sacred places are in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.

The Russian group headed towards Syabrubensi on October 8, to fulfill their long awaited trekking desire to Langtang. The Langtang trek highlights the cultural encounter with the Tibetan villages, mesmerizing views of ten 6000m plus mountain peaks including Langtang Ri, Ganesh Himal and Lang Sisa and experiencing the swift cold wind blowing through the Ganjala Pass 5122m. The trekking expedition to Langtang Valley is comparatively a easy but very enjoyable trek. There are no special requirements for the trek. However, health fitness, affectionate towards walking and the strong desire to experience something new geographically and culturally adds the adventurous flavor during the trek.

The part of the trek goes through Langtang National Park. Spotting the Himalayan species of mammals and aves is the another interesting side of the trek. The visit to the Kyanjin Gompa and Yala Cheese Factory after the 5 days of long trek is an incredible feeling. The Russian group took enough time for acclimatization, rest and exploration as per the itinerary.
After, covering the places like Dome, Lama Hotel, Ghoretabela and Langtang the Russian team was back at Kathmandu after their 9 days trek.
