Nepalese Embassy in Switzerland along with the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Switzerland, Swiss-Nepalese Society and the Nepali Social Concern Forum (NESCOF) organized a special programme in Bern, Switzerland, to mark the 5th International Mt. Sagarmatha/ Everest Day. Imapct of climate change in the Himalaya, sustainable mountain development agenda and mountain tourism were some of the issues discussed during the program. The program was attended by a large number of Swiss travel agents, tour operators, travel journalists, mountaineers and representatives of NRNA. Swiss mountaineers who had climbed Mt. Everest also shared their experiences. The program concluded with a Nepali cultural program and dinner where authentic Nepali cuisine was served.
