“After a short pause from our annual festivals, we are officially back to work. We are most ecstatic to inform you that a Historical event “ The Globeriders – Himalayan Expedition Motorbike Tour 2015 ” organised by Explore Himalaya has just entered Imphal, India after riding across 4 different countries !”

It took two years for us to plan for Himalaya Expedition with Helge Pedersen, a world renowned motorcyclist, Author of the book 10 years on 2 Wheels, and most importantly Founder of Globeriders LLC, USA. The major earthquake of Nepal on 25th April, 2015 also hindered greatly for this event from happening. But like they say, Adventure is out there, nothing stopped our dear riders from Globeriders LLC from signing up for this challenge to ride in the Himalayas. Helge is currently riding on this mission with his BMW 1200 GSA motorbike along with 5 of his friends from USA & Israel.

Tour commencement in Radisson Hotel, Thailand on 10th September, 2015

“This tour kicked off from Radisson Hotel, Thailand on 10th September, 2015. Our riders from there made their way to Laos, China, Tibet, the Autonmous region of China, and Myanmar covering 733 kms in 55 days. Group is now set to travel for 2600 kms more from North East India to Bhutan and finally travel their way upto Kathmandu, Nepal.”

Globeriders first stop in China, Mengla

This has been a very special project for Explore Himalaya and the entire Tourism industry of Nepal, which mainly aims to revive the Tourism sector of Nepal after the quake of April 25th, 2015. This tour is generously carrying the brand “Nepal : Back On Top Of The World” throughout their journey in Asian countries and promoting Nepal en-route.
