The first WWF International President’s Award has been awarded to 28 year old Nepali mountain guide, conservation activist and WWF Nepal’s Climate Ambassador under the ‘Climate For Life’ campaign, Dawa Steven Sherpa. According to a press release issued by World Wildlife Fund, the new WWF International President’s Award has been created to acknowledge and encourage outstanding achievements of young people under the age of 30 who are making strong and compelling contributions to nature conservation around the world. The award was given away during a special ceremony at WWF’s Annual Conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Overall we had a great trip with great staff and felt that we experienced the Himalayas and Nepal to the utmost.
