Dreaming of prosperous and peaceful life ahead with his family Navaraj Adhikari from Nuwakot joined the Maoist Army during the insurgency. His was not fortunate enough to survive; he was killed by the Nepalese army. His soul might be resting in peace, but his family had to suffer the enormous loss of an earning family member and had to go through the grave financial crisis. Kishan Adhikari, son of Late Navaraj Adhikari was hardworking and intelligent since his childhood. Acknowledging Kishan’s immense caliber and keen passion towards studies, the VDC he belonged to, supported financially in his education. Kishan worked even harder and passed SLC from Jana Kalyan Niketan Higher Secondary School, Nuwakot in the First Division and completed his 10+2 level from Prime College Kathmandu majoring Science again in the First Division. Presently, he studies Bachelors in Civil Engineering in Himalayan College of Engineering. His VDC does not have enough budgets to support his expensive Engineering Course anymore. Kishan only single hope is pinned up on acquiring academic education. Acknowledging the need of a real genuine student Explore Himalaya stepped in.

Explore Himalaya President Mr. Suman Pandey purposed to the secretarial and the climbing staffs of the organization to initiate the financial aid to a diligent and hardworking Engineering student Kishan Adhikari. Explore Himalaya workforce was happy to support  Mr. Adhikari for the first semester which costs around USD 1000.
