Lukla Airport.
Mr. Zeev Kurlianchick and Ms. Aleshechkina Daria from Israel and Russia respectively had the strong desire to trek in the Everest region of the Himalayas. Explore Himalaya was honored to design their 21 days stay in Nepal and the trek to the Everest Base Camp via Gokyo and Kala Patthar. Trekkers normally fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. On the sixth day of their trek from Namche they were able to reach Gokyo 4750m as per their itinerary. On the tenth day they were able to make up to Gorak Shep 5164m, where the ascent of Kala Patthar begins. The Everest, Nuptse and the Lhotse view anywhere from Kala Patthar is spectacular. Mount Everest webcam is the world’s highest webcam located here. The eleventh day was the day to reach their final destination.

Our tour guides and drivers in Lhasa and the rest of Tibet did an excellent job. They were friendly, knowledgeable, good humored and we had a feeling that they did their best to make it a very good trip!
