Tyangboche.

Ackerbroeck Bart Vanden, had the strong desire to trek to the Everest Base Camp 5357m. This year his desire got fulfilled with Explore Himalaya. He was here with us on October 26, 2012. He had the perfect sightseeing arrangement around the Kathmandu city on 27th. On 28 October, his trek was scheduled to Phakding after the short flight to Lukla. A night at Phakding followed the trek to Namche on 29 October. He had a day rest at Namche. On 31st, he had the long way to Tyangboche.

Mighty Everest amongst the cluster of clouds.

October came to an end and on the first of November, he trekked to Pheriche 4252m. From Periche his journey, closer to EBC was planned. Hence he wished to have a day break at Periche. On November 3, he ascended to Lobuche 4930m in an average pace. He came very close to EBC, at Gorakshep 5184m on fourth. November 5, he was at the Everest Base Camp and made the prompt U-turn back to Gorakshep after witnessing the fantastic enough time at EBC. From Gorakshep he then started descending towards Lukla Airport via Pangboche and Namche.. On November 9, he took the flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla and made his exit from Nepal on November 10.

Happy Explorers

Best memory of the trip was helicopter ride to Everest. I would recommend fellow travelers to include the helicopter ride to Mt. Everest during their trip to Nepal.
