The powerful Earthquake of 7.9 moment magnitude on 24/05 followed by the numerous aftershocks including the one of 7.3 moment magnitude of May 12 has created chaos in the country. However, the country and the countrymen have no option other than making a recovery. The recovery begins with the immediate relief packages offered to the quake victims of Nepal. Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure in collaboration with PATA Nepal Chapter has put every inch of the efforts to bring the sensation of instant relief to the quake victims in the locales of close proximity as well as isolated villages of rural Nepal.

During the crisis of such level, thousands of people have been injured and hence acknowledging the need of first aid medical attention, PATA Nepal Chapter has established a Free Medical Camp in Kathmandu. The campaign is supported by the Indian Humanitarian organization, “Doctors for You”.

The team of Explore Himalaya and PATA Nepal Chapter volunteered their time, labor and efficiency so that the victims of the quake receive proper relief. Office staffs and the field staffs of both organizations have dedicated their every bit in executing the relief plans most effectively. We also coordinated with local social organizations so that every real victim of the quake is served evenly.
Explore Himalayans at work- Allocating required number of tents, mattresses and blankets in the affected regions so that everyone gets relieved is our prime priority now.

Field assessment made by Explore Himalaya and PATA Nepal Chapter has made the relief distribution activity a lot effective. We have acknowledged the most affected regions, we figured out the needy victims and hence we have made an impact. No victim gets unseen and unprivileged from our relief campaign especially in the villages of Nuwakot. However, we have also distributed relief materials in the quake affected villages of Gorkha, Rasuwa, Dhading, Kavre and Sinduplanchowk.

Every quake affected region has been considered and helped. The communities around Kathmandu, where the quake has affected the most as well as the quake hit regions of rural Nepal have been given equal priority. Mr. Suman Pandey the President of Explore Himalaya also the Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter leads from the front during this humanitarian act.
