Langtang trek very well blends with Kathmandu sightseeing tour and Chitwan wildlife tour to explore more of Nepal

Posted Apr 18th, 2014 under Testimonial, Trekking & Hiking, Trip Report, Wildlife & Bird Watching,

Trekking in Nepal is always a fascinating experience. If a wildlife tour and rural activities are added to a trekking adventure while exploring Nepal with a family, the vacation definitely becomes a blast. Six Danish travelers, Poulsens and Panduros through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel recently trekked and toured around Nepal with us. Their tour began with the cultural sightseeing tour to traditional Newari villages, flanking Kathmandu; Bungmati and Khokona. They also visited few Heritage sites in Kathmandu out of many, which represented the prosperous civilization of ancient and medieval Nepal. The school visit and the homestay programs at Nuwakot, a famous mid-hill village of central Nepal allowed them to closely understand the culture of rural Nepal. Prior to their departure to Nuwakot the mountain flight was eventually the best air travel of their lives. The group had the trek to Langtang which was the prime highlight of their holiday to Nepal. Their trek to Langtang covered the famous Kyanjin Gompa, Langtang Village and the day hike to Tsergo Ri. As soon as Langtang Trek was completed for the wildlife adventure, the group headed towards Chitwan, a famous wildlife park in the central lowland terai of Nepal. Chitwan was amazing experience for the Danish group. After enjoying the diverse aspects of Nepal for eighteen days the group departed Nepal on April 16, 2014.
Here we have few lines by Poulsens and Panduros regarding the holiday in Nepal with Explore Himalaya.

The activities at Chitwan National Park and the trek are the best memories of our holiday to Nepal. Bathing with the elephants at Chitwan and mingling with the nature during trek were awesome experiences. Our guide Lamababu is a great guide to travel with.
The services of Explore Himalaya were great. Everything was super. Meeting and handling, guides, office staffs and hotels we stayed in, everything were perfect. You have taken care of us in a very nice way.
We would recommend a tour like this to others and certainly with Explore Himalaya.

Elephant ride in Chitwan and private day tour of Bhaktapur-amazing blend to enjoy a holiday in Nepal

Posted Apr 7th, 2014 under Testimonial, Wildlife & Bird Watching,

British travelers Ms. Christine and Mr. Michael Patrick McDonagh recently were on Kathmandu and Chitwan Tour with us. They had an incredible experience during the private  day tour of the UNESCO enlisted Heritage sites of Kathmandu and wildlife safari at Chitwan National Park. Before their departure they had something to say about their holiday in Nepal with Explore Himalaya.

Elephant rides in the jungle of Chitwan National Park and visit to the outstanding Bhaktapur Durbar Square with such excellent guides are the best memories of our trip to Nepal.

The service of Explore Himalaya is excellent. Every time our Tour Officer turned up on time and he was very helpful. Dwarika’s Hotel, the hotel we stayed in Kathmandu was outstanding with superb staffs. Guides were very knowledgeable and articulate. Nothing bothered us throughout our trip in Nepal. We would fully recommend Explore Himalaya to all the travelers planning to visit Nepal.

Jim and Cindy Beckman at the Airport with our Quality Control Officer Mr. Amar Rai

Cheepers Birding Tours led by the members of Board of Directors of Dayton Audubon Soceity Jim and Cindy Beckman offer remarkable birding tours around the world in relatively lower prices. Jim and Cindy led a team of birders this year to Nepal and their birding tour in the major birding destinations of Nepal was organized by Explore Himalaya. We had a short conversation with Jim and Cindy on the Birding Tour right at the airport terminal before their departure back home.

Jim and Cindy Beckman on Birding Tour to Nepal

On Tour

The tour was great; everything went smoothly without a hitch anywhere. We enjoyed the trip so much.

Memorable part of the birding tour

The tents in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve were adventurous enough to stay. We knew it was coming and we really enjoyed it. Birding at Fulchowki, especially the Upper Fulchowki has been our favorite birding destination so far.

Number of Species of Birds Spotted

Almost 370 species of birds were spotted which included few species that we spotted in India. We spotted around 200 species of new birds in Nepal.

Service of Explore Himalaya

We came here last year on a FAM Tour. The reason we came back is because, we know how well you plan things. We knew very well that, all the transitions during the Birding Tour are smooth enough that, we don’t have to worry about anything while traveling with Explore Himalaya. All we can do is put a number in the pocket and call you guys whenever there is a problem. I know you will help us with whatever problem we have. Traveling with Explore Himalaya in Nepal takes the fear out of traveling in a strange country like this. It’s a comfort traveling with you guys. Besides, the people at Explore Himalaya are just like other Nepalese we found, during the birding tour who were very friendly and kind.

Ways to improve birding tours in Nepal

Well Nepal is an ideal destination for birding. However, the birding culture in Nepal has not been flourished yet. I am sure Explore Himalaya can make it happen. There only one thing, the birding guides need to be trained well. The guides are enthusiastic and are very good guides with the resources they have. Let the birding guides explore the woods with the better optics and tape recorder. Let them experience- they will learn by doing it.

Our German guests Mr. Michael Hermsdorf and Mr. Moritz Thorenz explored the diverse sides of Nepal during three full days excursion of Nepal. The Mt. Everest Flight took them above the towering peaks in the Everest Region whereas; they explored cultural heritage of Kathmandu on a guided sightseeing tour to the Temple of Living Goddess Kumari at Kathmandu Durbar Square. The walk through the colorful and vibrant streets of Asan was equally interesting. They also enjoyed the wildlife activities at Chitwan National Park.

Here we have few beautiful lines they said after the completion of the tour.

Explore Himalaya is a great organization which prioritizes customer preferences at first place. Everything was perfect.Sabin, our tour guide was very polite and arranged everything as per our wishes. Thank you, we had a great holiday in Nepal.
