Ms. Corina Mathilde from Netherlands had the trekking expedition to the Everest Base Camp with Explore Himalaya. Everest Base Camp trek is the wonderful experience in the Himalayas for altitude acclimatization and cultural exploration. The trek begins with the flight to Lukla on the first day. The Everest Base Camp trek goes through the popular gateway to the Himalayas, Namche Bazaar 3450m. The village has the mixture of traditional and modern flavors. Namche Bazaar is also a suitable location for the best views of  Mt. Kongde Ri 6,187m in the west and Mt.Thamserku 6623m on its east. Passing Namche, Everest Base Camp  trekking trial brought Corina to Tyangboche 3867m the next day. Tyangboche Monastery within the village is the biggest Buddhist Monastery in the Khumbu region. Tengboche offers the majestic views of the Himalayan Mountains including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Tyangboche Monastery stands tall at the hill which seems to be flying high across the direct axis of Imja river. After, the finest mountain scenery at Tyangboche, the trek headed towards Periche. Periche 4371m, lies above Tshola river. The village runs the hospital which also plays an important role during Himalayan rescue operations. Lobuche is the next village on the way to the Everest Base Camp. Lobuche 4940m is the last stoppage for the lodging during the trek to Everest Base Camp. The village lies very close to the foot of Khumbu glacier. Corina, stopped there for the night. Next day, Corina trekked to Gorakshep 5164m. Gorakshep is within the Sagarmatha National Park.
