Nuwakot and Samari are the middle hills of Nepal and are very closely located to the capital city Kathmandu. The trial to the places offer the comfortable hiking along the dense tropical forests as well the utmost chances of cultural encounters. Explore Himalaya and Kipling Travel alliance own the ancient houses at Nuwakot and Samari for the home-stays. Five Danish visitors led by Ms. Nalissa Maberly drove to Nuwakot on April 3rd 2012, after their couple of days volunteering workshop. Nuwakot is a beautiful place to be and has the significant historical values . The 7-storied Palace built in the seventeenth century reflects the reigning culture of ancient small kingdoms kings of Nepal. Samari is the village within Nuwakot which is densely populated with Tamang inhabitants. The culturally rich village worths a day stay. Ms. Nalissa and her mates moved down to Royal Beach Camp on 5th to enjoy the white water rafting at Trishuli. Trishuli is a fast flowing river which originates at the Himalayan lake Gosainkunda in the Langtang region. The river flows down along the Prithivi Highway. The easy access from the highway to the three most popular cities of Nepal; Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan, the rafting at Trshuli is a very popular short adventure in Nepal. After the raft the team was escorted back to Kathmandu.
