The 4th Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (NIIFF) will be organized in Kathmandu from June 25th till June 27.The three day festival will feature thirteen Nepali films and nineteen films from India, Bhutan, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Argentina, America, Sweden, Norway, and Cambodia.The movies will be screened at Rastriya Sabha Griha (City Hall) and Nepal Tourism Board.The Nepalese movies will showcase the indigenous culture of Magar, Tamang, Newar, Gurung, Rai, Limbu, Sunuwar, Dhimal, and Byasi ethnic communities. The entries will receive Golden Drum, Silver Drum and Bronze Drum awards as per the recommendations of the five-member jury.
Overall it was a great trip. I was well taken care of in Beijing both in arrival and departure. My dealings with the representatives in Kathmandu was absolutely excellent.
