Ahmedabad Bicycling Club, along with its 14 cyclists members, has arrived Kathmandu today at 14:55 from Delhi for the most anticipated Kailash Mansarovar Bicycle Tour. Explore Himalaya Team, its travel partner, has warmly received the group at Tribhuwan International Airport. The tour, which is a also a fusion of adventure and pilgrimage tourism, is hailed for its responsible initiatives. The tour which starts from 16th of August is expected to complete the Kailash Parikrama -the sacred abode of Lord Shiva on 28th of August. The tour will cover a total distance of 700 kms of cycling.
Shortly after their arrival at Hotel Marshyangdi, they headed towards Explore Himalaya office for briefing session, which included crew member familiarization, equipment demonstration, cycle check and some last minute preparations. The group will be supported by 7 crew members from Explore Himalaya, 4 land cruisers, 1 logistic truck and 1 local Tibetan guide.
In the evening, they will meet for a celebratory dinner to mark the 67th Independence Day of India. The group is scheduled to depart to Nyalam tomorrow early morning. The Team of Explore Himalay wishes them a safe and successful journey ahead.
