Three Danish trekkers Mr. Dyring Jesper, Ms. Juhler Britgit and Mr. Christian Bomholt through our sole country partner Kipling Travel were on the cultural trekking tour to the Everest region this spring from March 24, 2013 to April 7, 2013. During their trek to the villages below the Everest the Danish group covered several popular villages of the Everest region like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Thame, Khumjung and etc.
The very next day- the day after their arrival the group made the thrilling flight to Lukla and right away set off on the trekking adventure. The trek covered the the villages with sacred monasteries, provided the insightful experience of the highland lifestyles and obviously offered the closer and panoramic views of the Himalayan giants including Everest.
As the trek concluded on April 3rd 2013, the group spent three free days at Kathmandu before their flight back to home on April 7, 2013.
We find it very important that our travelling contributes to the preservation of Nepal’s fragile and beautiful nature. We encourage Kipling Travels and Explore Himalaya to start working with different tea-houses / lodges and hotels on sustainability initiatives- like waste recycling, solar heating etc.
We work with the motto "Tourism for Development". Explore Himalaya Community Service Project was conceived to empower underprivileged segments of Nepal.
