In-house training at Explore Himalaya.

Explore Himalaya recently conducted the in-house training and workshop to its staffs. During the two weeks long training and workshop the President of the company Mr. Suman Pandey himself was a chief mentor. He shared his the colorful experience in the tourism industry to encourage the sales and operation staffs to develop their career in the industry. The participants of the workshop deliberately expressed that the workshop was really meaningful and would help them to generate more business in the better ways. The workshop also included the demonstration of the trekking gears and clothing by the professional Sherpa mountaineers. Since Nepal in the central hub for the trekkers of all around the world the training and the workshop majorly focused on the treks and the necessary tips to execute the perfect treks. Most of the sessions during the workshop were the inspirational lectures whereas few of them included the individual presentation of the participants and remaining couple of them were refreshing with off-the-track, experience sharing sessions.

The wide range of topics including trekking history in Nepal, trekking regions, applicable fees for a trek, types of trekking based on services and regions, trekking gears and accessories and their types, responsible tourism, trekking queries, handling the inquiries, proposal building, guest handling, company terms and conditions and post tour responsibilities were covered during the workshop.

The training concluded amongst all the climbing staffs and the secretarial staffs after the demonstration of trekking gears and accessories by a professional Sherpa mountaineer.
