Visitor arrivals in the month of October this year increased by 12% to 62,712 compared to the same month last year. As per arrival/ departure figures released by Immigration Office, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), arrivals from South Asian region rose to 13.7% with Bangladesh and India posting a healthy growth of 34.7% and 17.1%. Arrivals from Japan and South Korea also showed an upward trend. Likewise visits from the European Union have also risen. A total of 29,681 Europeans arrived in Kathmandu via air in October 2010, the highest recorded number in the last nine months. Arrivals from Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada also posted positive growth by 6.8%, 10.6%, 32 % and 28.5% respectively.
The meeting and handling was very good and on time. We were provided lots useful tips about the Kathmandu and trek. During trek our trekking staffs were very helpful. Lodges were good with warm welcome every time. Itinerary was good and flexible and adapted to our needs.
