Pilgrimage Tour to Halesi

Fishtail Air’s heli- pilgrimage tours are getting quite popular among pilgrims, especially the elderly. The company has introduced another important site to their list of pilgrimage destinations: the temple of Halesi Mahadev.

Halesi, known as the ‘Pashupatinath’ of eastern Nepal, lies in Khotang district in Eastern Nepal. The hill top temple of Halesi Mahadev is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. Situated between the two holy rivers of Dudh Koshi and Sun Koshi, this temple is also known as ‘Pashupatinath’ of eastern Nepal. The shrine of Mahadev is located inside a cave. There are two small caves dedicated to Nandi and Bhairav, adjoining the main cave. It is believed that the diety of this temple, Haleshwor Mahadeva, really fulfills the wishes of his devotees.

Fishtail Air is operating regular charters to Halesi.

Happy Explorers

The driver was also very professional and when the vehicle broke down once he did a great job repairing it. Overall, I was very pleased with the trip. Will recommend to everyone.
