Seems like travellers don’t seem to get enough of Nepal. After making it to Lonely Planet’s ‘Best in Travel 2010’ list, Nepal has once again been featured in National Geographic’s ‘Best New Trips for 2010’. The 25 trips listed includes wolf-tracking in Slovakia, rafting in Bhutan’s forbidden river , a trip to volcanic island of Montserrat and hiking in Namche, the Sherpa capital in the Everest region.
Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops. For trekkers heading off to Everest base camp and Mt.Everest, Namche is an ideal place to spend a day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Tengboche. While at Namche you can visit Khunde Hospital set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a one hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. There are also good views from the National Park Centre and Museum just above the town.
Discover Namche by taking our ‘A week Below Everest’ trip.

The meeting and handling was very good and on time. We were provided lots useful tips about the Kathmandu and trek. During trek our trekking staffs were very helpful. Lodges were good with warm welcome every time. Itinerary was good and flexible and adapted to our needs.
We work with the motto "Tourism for Development". Explore Himalaya Community Service Project was conceived to empower underprivileged segments of Nepal.
