Two Festivals, three weddings, a travel documentary being made by Karma Trekkers (a Canadian TV show) and the conclusion of the Everest skydiving event - these are the highlights for this month's newsletters.

A special photo essay on volunteering and cultural exchange in Nuwakot by King George V School group from Hong Kong has also made it to this edition highlights.

Everest Skydive Concludes Setting New Records

Everest Skydive 2008

Everest Skydive 2008 has made it to the record books. The event can be dubbed as the most exciting Himalayan adventure. The skydiving event held the world enthralled, as divers hurtled from above the world's highest peak Mt. Everest, free falling for a few minutes before opening their parachute and landing on the highest drop zone in the world, Shyangboche.The event became the first skydiving event where 50 solos and19 tandem jumps were made by 41 skydivers from a height above Mount Everest.

EVENT - Wedding bells - the Nepali way

Mock Marriage

Explore Himalaya organized a traditional Nepalese wedding for 'Travel Directors', where three couples took their Hindu wedding vows and remarried again. Alan & Barbara Bosher were the first couple to 're'tie their knot. They were followed by Ross & Diane Nuttall and Arthur & Audrey Anstis.

Karma Trekkers making documentary on Nepal

Karma Trekkers

KARMA TREKKERS is a Canadian global lifestyle travel television show. The filming crew was in Nepal recently to shoot an episode on Nepal. Explore Himalaya organized their tour, as the filming crew tried to capture Nepal's rich cultural and ancient heritage.

KARMA TREKKERS can be seen on the global networks of CNBC World, Wealth TV in the US, Discovery Europe and Discovery Asia in addition to many other broadcasters across Latin Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
