Greetings & Namaste!

Once again we are here with our new edition of Spring 2008 newsletter. With the onset of spring a new, and hopefully prosperous, season has begun for the tourism industry. The picture looks rosy and optimistic, in view of the overwhelming response for destination Nepal at the International travel & tourism trade marts and fairs and the bumper arrival of tourists in the first two months. Some 13,774 tourist arrival from Europe was recorded during the first two months of 2008, a huge rise from 10,135 arrivals in the same period last year. Tourists are now looking favorably at Nepal because of the improved political scenario.
Another bit of good news for those aspiring to summit Everest –refuting earlier reports the Nepal Government has formally announced that it is not going to bar expeditions to the Everest.
Last but not the least, Nepal is going to the polls this April 10. We all are hoping that the outcome will usher in a new era of peace and development.
