January 2009 Explore Himalaya Travel & Adventure |
|
The year 2008 ended on a promising note for the Nepalese Tourism industry, and as we bring to you the first edition of this year's EH Newsletter, we hope that 2009 may prove to be a good year too. Wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year! PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTBADEN POWELL PEAK CLIMBING
Baden Powell Peak, a mushroom shaped mountain situated in the Langtang region offers a perfect alternative to Imja Tse or Island Peak in the Khumbu region. Seen from the south-west, Baden Powell Peak almost looks like Ama Dablam which is situated in the Everest region. It is surrounded by majestic peaks such as Langtang II, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and Shishapangma in Tibet. FESTIVALS & EVENTS
This January Nepal is going to celebrate three festivals: Maghe Sakranti, Losar and Basant Panchami.
The Pokhara sky will burst into a riot of colours as the 10th Open Paragliding Championship organized by the Western Regional Chapter of Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) gets underway from 19th to 21st January 2009 in Pokhara. TESTIMONIALSI would strongly recommend Explore Himalaya to my friends. Yalambar & Lama Babu were excellent. Tour guide & porter efficient & friendly.
