The whole world watched in awe as the Everest Skydivers flew to the height of 29,500ft and jumped down, landing on the highest drop zone Shyangboche (12,350ft) and straight to the history books. For an event of this magnitude, quality was one thing that the organizers could not afford to compromise. Every single article (from equipments to clothing) to be used for this event had to be ‘top grade’ and of highest quality.
It is a matter of great pride, for us to know that the suits worn by the skydivers during the Everest Skydive was locally made by a young Thamel based Nepali entrepreneur, Rajen Dulal. Yes, the red, blue and black skydiving suits that were all tailored in a small workshop in Thamel made it to the top grade.
